Marching Band

The Randleman High School Marching Tigers is an ensemble that meets as a class during the Fall semester and rehearses/performs outside of school from August through December. The following performances can be expected from the Marching Tigers in a regular season:

- Home Football Games

- 4 Marching Band Competitions

- Randleman Parades

- RHS Veterans Day Ceremony

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Marching Tigers is to shape students into not only strong musicians, but also responsible young adults with good character. The Bands will work together to inspire, encourage, and support every member of the program. We want being in the band to be an experience that is fulfilling and worthwhile for all.

Interest Meetings:

All interested members are encouraged to attend the Marching Band Interest Meeting held in April of each year. Note: Students interested in Percussion, Color Guard, and Leadership are also required to attend auditions. The purpose of this interest meeting is to provide an opportunity for students and their families to meet our staff, band boosters, and get more information about the process of joining the Marching Tigers.

Summer Rehearsals:

Summer rehearsals are necessary due to our football and competition schedule and the amount of training required to participate in this activity.

Band Camp is required for all members in order to begin laying the foundation for marching and playing techniques. This also provides the students with an opportunity to get to know each other and make friends before the school year begins. This is the most important time during the marching band season, and we lay a lot of groundwork on our halftime show.

If you are interested in joining the Marching Tigers but cannot attend Band Camp, please let the Director of Bands know ASAP. Band Camp is a very critical time of the season; exceptions to these two weeks are made sparingly and are based on musicianship skills and circumstances.
